"Hate Me" marks the first collaboration between the British vocalist and American hip-hop musician Juice Wrld. "It's a thin line between all this love and hate/And if you switch sides, you're gon' have to claim your place/So baby, this time you're gon' have to seal your fate," warns Goulding in the song. Throughout the clip, dancers are seen listening to the song as a way to cope with the loss of their love interest in a social media-dominated world. The visual, directed by British filmmaker Saam Farahmand, opens on a smartphone automatically deleting various pictures of Goulding. "Hate Me" is set to appear on Goulding's forthcoming fourth studio album, which will be out at a yet-unknown date.Ī month after the release of the collaborative project, the British singer unveiled the accompanying music video.
